Laurel Turk, Lic. Ac.
After 22 years in practice, there is much that I love about Chinese medicine. Acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine are gentle, safe, time-proven methods of bringing profound changes to our physical and emotional health. They can help reduce stress, increase energy, and treat many acute and chronic conditions.
I graduated from the Five Branches Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Santa Cruz, California in 1995. I am licensed by the MA Board of Medicine in acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine, and certified in acupuncture and Chinese herbs by the NCCAOM. |
I began practicing in Amherst, Massachusetts in 1996, and opened my current Sunderland office in 1997. In 2013 I began working at Cancer Connection in Northampton.
Over the years, I have completed further studies in many aspects of acupuncture and herbology. Studying a diversity of styles with different teachers has given me the tools to choose methods that will be most effective for each individual client. My primary studies have included:
I also enjoy mentoring other practitioners. I was a clinical supervisor at White Pine Healing Arts herbal program in Amherst from 2001-2002. I have been an off-site clinical supervisor for the New England School of Acupuncture since 2005, and I offer mentoring to acupuncturists and herbalists. See my Mentoring page.
Everyone is welcome in my practice. I look forward to speaking with you about the unique care I provide and how I can serve your health needs.
